This selection of work is what the artist calls model narratives.
\nModel Narratives are three dimensional, deftly constructed, wall mounted miniatures constructed in wood with some resins, carved and finely painted. Approximately 400 x 400 x 150mm, and like paintings, they are self- contained. Whilst combining the freedoms of pictorial space, both in scale and illusion, the model narratives are visually
\ntactile and reveal multiple viewpoints through their three dimensional form.
\n<\/span>
\nThe subject matter derives from long-life experiences, biography, nostalgia and memory presenting the familiar with the unexpected and all conveyed by closely figured content and detail. This is slow art, each narrative evolves through an extensive making process before final resolution as an individual piece.<\/span><\/p>\n
